We met Jura brand manager Cara at the head office of Whyte and Mackay in Glagow bright and early this morning, before our driver, Scott, picked us up to take us to the ferry at Tayvallich, about a 3 hour drive through some magnificent scenery.
The road was a bit windy, and Cara and I both felt a little queasy along the way, but for me, that could have had something to do with the packet of Malteasers I ate by the handful in the car.
We encouraged Scott to pause in Inverary to let us out to visit one of our favourite whisky shops – Loch Fyne Whiskies, where the ever-delightful Andy Burns introduced us to a limited edition bottle called the Jura Delme Evans.
If you’re in the area and you get a chance to visit Loch Fyne Whiskies, make sure you remember to look up at the display above your head and see an amazing array of whisky sent to the Loch Fyne team by grateful patrons and mail-order clients all over the world.
We’re already off to a very good start.
